My wife and I just saw a british film that had
a Kevin Shields sountrack that was really nice
(though a tad inside).
I can't remember what the movie was for the fucking life of
me.
What do people know, specifically, about why he stopped producing his wonderful music? I heard he was given a
huge budget to make his next record and that he went crazy
with perfectionism and couldn't ever finish it.
that's just rumour though and I have no backing for it.
what do you guys know..................oh, and HI!!!!
thanks for starting this tribe.

Re: Kevin Shield's current film soundtrack
Tue, January 20, 2004 - 7:23 PMI heard when he made "Loveless" he nearly bankrupted the label (Creation). I think the album took almost three years to finish and went astronomically over budget. I think for the followup album he had painted himself into a corner. Following up on "Loveless" was like Brian Wilson trying to follow up "Pet Sounds". It was just too much pressure to live up to.
Let me know if anyone figures out which soundtrack you're referring to. I'll about Kevin Shields...
